This past Sunday evening the church here at Mauriceville suffered the terrible loss of two of our sisters in Christ, Staci Lisenby and Peggy Swanton. The families, physical and spiritual, are devastated. Thankfully, there is a Sabbath rest for those who believe (Hebrews 4) and we are confident that they have received it.
We will be having a special prayer and singing service this Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. Each of the elders will offer a prayer for our family.
Peggy’s arrangements are as follows:
Dorman’s Funeral Home, Orange, 8808 Highway 87 North
Visitation: 5-9 PM, Thursday Night
Funeral: 10:00 AM Friday Morning
There will be no interment. Peggy had asked to be cremated.
The brethren here in Mauriceville will be providing the noon meal for the Swantons tomorrow, Thursday the 24th. Call Marsha Swanson for details.
Staci’s arrangements are as follows:
Visitation: 6-9 PM, Friday Night, Vidor Memorial Funeral Home at 1750 Highway 12
Funeral: 10:00 AM, Saturday Morning, First Baptist Church of Vidor at 350 N Main Street
Interment: Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 North Main Street, Vidor, Texas
Food can be taken to the back entrance of the Faith Assembly of God located at 390 S Archie St in Vidor. The food can be brought before the funeral the day of the funeral. The family will go there after the graveside service. If you have questions call Karen Egulf.
